Description
Pink Floyd's cult album "The Dark Side Of The Moon", which was released in March 1973, is celebrating its 50th birthday. What better place to celebrate and experience this event than a planetarium where the music is combined with visual effects? Using state-of-the-art technology, the idea of a show combining breathtaking views of the solar system and beyond with The Dark Side Of The Moon in surround sound was taken up by the band. The visual production was managed by NSC Creative in close collaboration with Pink Floyd's longtime creative collaborator Aubrey Powell of Hipgnosis.
Each song has a different theme; some are futuristic, others are a throwback to Pink Floyd's visual history, but all relate to an experience of time and space, utilizing the latest technologies that only a planetarium can provide. A truly immersive and all-encompassing visual and audio surround experience that transcends reality and takes you far beyond the boundaries of the 2D experience.
