We are showing two Volkuppel productions for children in a double bill:
3-2-1 Liftoff! - The space adventures of Elon the hamster
Most planetarium productions are about the universe. This story is about how difficult it is to get there.
Elon is a little hamster who is very interested in science. He lives in a junkyard and tries to fit in with the local rat community.
One day, a small robot crashes in the junkyard. How did the robot get there? Elon finds out that it fell from a spaceship hovering above the earth. And this spaceship will start its return journey tomorrow.
A great adventure begins. Will the two of them reach the spaceship in time?
Polaris - The Secret of the Polar Night
James, a penguin traveling the world, meets Vladimir the polar bear in the icy world of the North Pole. Together they look at the stars, marvel at the length of the polar nights and decide to find out more. Together they build the Polaris spaceship and embark on a turbulent space adventure in which they almost collide with chunks of ice from Saturn's rings, discover stowaways and, incidentally, uncover the secret of the polar night.
